Day Of Defeat Now Available On Steam For Mac
QUOTE='airshocker' There are still some servers. But if you're looking for a varied and diverse player-base, you won't find it in DoD:S. Advtr00per That's what I was worried about. I don't want 24/7 Avalanche servers.
86 servers with players on them with below 150 ping for me and its not all one map there a few official maps that get most of the play time but plenty of servers with other maps and alot of custom maps as well. I'm not sure why people think you need hundreds of servers to enjoy a mp game? I say buy a BOXED copy of Counter Strike: Source if you haven't already. For $20, you get both CS:S AND Day of Defeat Source (and Half Life 2 Deathmatch, though that's not very popular). Pretty good deal considering that Steam still sells CS:S for $20 alone. Bulletsword half-life 2 deathmatch not being popular!?
Its one of the more popular games on the source engine not as big as tf2 or cs:s but bigger then day defeat source. Steam server browser shows 240 servers with people playing on them with less then 150 ping for me.

All the various Mods and custom maps have given the game alot of longevity you could say its a prime example of how mods can breath life into a game.
