Reply by stlouiebob on July 21, 2005 I have a C84 (since Sept04) which is out of color, but with 30% of (original) black - can't print. Told by Epson CustServ that they use color on 'black only' printing so black will be correct color (?). Only printed color 3 times - once to test when new, once to print a single 4X6 photo and once to print a 3 page doc with minimum color just to be sure color jets didn't dry up. That sure appears to me to be design to assure we buy enough ink to keep cash flow high for Epson. Recommend if you don't print much color - buy something else.
