Xerox Wc 7545 Driver For Mac
We have a Workcentre 7545 with 'standard accounting' enabled. Our macs can't update to the latest Xerox drivers (supplied through Apple's automatic update) because the new drivers break 'standard accounting'. By break, I mean that when they try to print something the printer prints an error page stating 'The job was deleted due to invalid accounting IDs'. When we've tried to get a fix from our supplier (a Xerox subsidiary), we're told 'don't do that' (i.e. Don't update to the new drivers).

So, we're stuck using an old driver. The event the brought this back up was the purchase of a new printer for our communications team (Phaser 7800 GX). Installing the drivers for this new printer, caused the drivers for the 7545 to be updated as well (thereby breaking accounting).

So, we had to downgrade the driver (which downgraded it for both printers). I'm not sure if we're missing something on the new printer or not?!?! Plus, our users have to be very careful running the OSX updates because if they accept the default update it has new Xerox drivers bundled in. I've had to downgrade the drivers multiple times. Anyway, I'd love to hear something 'official' from Canon regarding this issue. Bill system details:. WorkCentre 7545 System Software Version: 061.121.222.06508.
